My Career has been an immersion in the Electronics and Information Technology Industry since 1982

Since 1982 I have been involved in the electronics, computer, server and networking fields of information technology.  From maintaining US Navy electronics and computer systems, building and servicing custom PCs in the early 90’s, to building vast corporate voice and data network infrastructures today. Supporting Cisco, Meraki, Fortigate, Palo Alto, and Sonicwall network systems for 100’s of customers, As well as Cisco and 3cX phone systems. VMware Server and desktop virtualization experience.

Experience

Senior Network Engineer / Alignment Engineer — The Purple Guys (ECS)  2013-Present

Responsible for corporate data and voice network designs, implementation and maintenance. Fortimanager management for over 400 devices.

Senior Network Engineer — I.T. Works 2006-2013

In 2006, my company was purchased by Houston based I.T. Works.  I remained on the team as a voice and data specialist.  Design, installation and maintenance of Cisco, Meraki, HP, Fortinet solutions.  VMWare server design, installation and maintenance of Microsoft and Cisco solutions.

Owner, ES Computers — 1994-2006

Established a small PC build and service company in 1994 that quickly grew out of the PC market into a corporate network and server market.  Earliest Cisco, Microsoft MCSE, Netware certifications in our market.

US NAVY - Electronics Technician - 1982-1990

Electronics Technician responsible for surface radar, air search radar and identification friend or foe (IFF) equipment. Achieved class E5 and honorable discharge.

CERTIFICATIONS

Cisco certified network professional (CCNP) in Enterprise (routing and switching) and in Collaboration (voice)     I have held certifications in Cisco since 1999.  I have also held certifications in VMWare/Microsoft/Adtran/3CX
